Patient and Dear Reader,
Knowing how deluged with request to read this and that we
are, I've made this the briefest of all musings. I will only tell you two
things:
1. For actual content, I've posted an
essay -- "Against Forgetting" -- and thoughts on the Gulf; reviews of
a novel and a singer all with links on my blog.
2. The next two Saturdays (July 24 at 12 noon and July 31
at 8 PM, I'll be in a reading of an exciting new play at the
Bay Area Playwrights
Festival called Tva Kamila, based on the gripping second string
quartet by Leos Janacek, known as Intimate Letters and inspired, as was all
his late and greatest music, by his obsession and love for a Jewish
women 38 years younger than he was. I'm reading the role of Leos. There are
also seven more notable and provocative new plays being read over the two
weekends. I urge any of you in the area to come partake. Click the festival
link above for details.

See, I wasn't kidding!
I hope to see traces of your visits to my blog.
Yours,
Corey
